Magnetic Particle Inspection

Magnetic Particle Inspection is a Non Destructive Testing (NDT) method that can be used to detect surface and near surface flaws in ferromagnetic materials such as steel and iron, eg Casting, Plates, Machined Components, Welds, Forgings. It is often used to look for cracking at welded joints and in  areas identified as being susceptible to environmental cracking (eg, stress corrosion cracking or hydrogen induced cracking ), Fatigue cracking or creep cracking.
